ParticipantHi Steven,
for my site I use the CSV import plugin v1.02 with connections. After importing some adresses with personal “dates” (e.g. birthday), I can see them on my offical page (no user login with private access) although my shortcodes for connections should hide them.
My current preferences are:
[connections show_dates=FALSE page_limit=21 enable_category_select=TRUE show_empty_categories=FALSE card_width=221 card_height=150 phone_types='homephone, workphone, cellphone' str_select='Kategorien' str_select_all='Alle Kategorien zeigen' str_home_addr='Adresse:' str_image='Kein Foto verfügbar' name_format='%last% %first%' contact_name_format='%label%: %last% %first%']
Could you check this, please? It seems like a little bug when unsing CSV import within connections.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Steven,
one more information: the template is “tile plus” on my sever.
Is it possible to set the visibility only for the “date” to “private” in the template settings? If possible wich file has to be changed?
Thank you!

By default Tile Plus does not even show the dates so you do not need to set the
show_dates=FALSE
option. First please try removing that option. Also, can you please share a link to your directory page so I can take a look?11/25/2014 at 4:06 pm #310889Stefan Sauer
ParticipantHi Steven, removing the option “show_dates=FALSE” doesn’t solve the problem. I found out the following option changes the indication:
Connections settings – Single Entry – Template:
The following settings are applied when viewing a single entry in the detail view. Which details are shown….- option enabled= dates and adresses are shown
- option disabled = no dates and no adress will be shown connections shortcode in both cases was “[connections]” – without any shortcode options! the shortcode options dont’t have no bearing on this…. Well… in which file I could change the template default values? Adresses, user an login to my site only via PN, please. Best regards, Stefan

First disable the Single Entry template option. Only use that if you want to use a template other than Tile Plus for the “detail view”. My guess is that you have one of the templates that come with Connections set to be used for the “detail view”. These templates do not support the shortcode options so setting them would have no effect, that is expected behavior. And, they display all details by default.
With that option disabled, only Tile Plus will be used for both views.
Now with only Tile Plus being used, it is expected behavior that neither the addresses or phone will be displayed because, by default, Tile Plus will not show that info.
Hope that clears up the template usage.
Sorry but I do not really understand your very last comment; “Adresses, user an login to my site only via PN” and how that applies to the issue???
The template files can be found in the following folder:
../wp-content/plugins/connections-tile-plus/
To change the default file values you need to edit the
tile-plus.php
file. I do not recommend changing the defaults in the files because any changes you make will be lost when you update the template and you’ll have to redo your changes.Hope that helps!
