I just purchased the pro templates and extensions pack. For some reason it conflicts with Shape 5 templates but don’t know why.

I was going to use cmap template. What template for site works best with that? This is for church member directory.

Other questions:
1. the listings now for all show each individual person. if they are part of a family then i want to just show the family. how do i change that? will it also show singles or do i have to put them in a family even though just one person?
2. some of the labels in back end we don’t use, such as organization, department, etc. is there a way to remove them or change to something else?
3. how do you control what shows on all listings card? right now it has main things.

Add the list_type options to the shortcode, like so [connections list_type="family"]

You’ll also have to add a family with just that individual.

The labels can be changed, see this QuickTip.

Generally it show what has been added to the entry some templates shows data by defaults while others don’t (which is configurable). Not knowing more specifically what you want to hide and in what template, the best I can says is refer to the template doc page that you’re are using.

because the site has member’s info it is passworded. if you can give me way to pm you backend access i’ll send it. i’ve had to go back to regular standard template now as it now causes other issues with media if i activate my original template.

If the Shape 5 themes are causing you other troubles, then the issue is likely with the theme and not Connections. If that is the case there not likely much I can do to help.

i’ve got it working with a basic template. i made the change to show families. now though it shows place for people to leave comment on each directory page. we don’t have comments allowed on site so not sure where this is coming from. users must be logged in to view the directory but we don’t want comments or the ability to leave comments. thanks

Connections does not supporting or add or interact with commenting, so, it can not be coming from Connections. Usually this is controlled by the theme or a setting on the page on the page’s admin edit page to disable comments.

Sorry, but it is impossible for comments to be added by Connections. Check the page settings, the page template or the edits to the template, maybe code was accidently added that is calling the comment form.
