I need some basic orientation on how to create the login portion of the Connections directory. I understand from other support threads that Connections does not provide a password protected page and that this is a WordPress feature.
To put this in place, do I go through WordPress, set up user registration, and then add a sign in widgit to our Connections directory site? Right now, the Connections directory page on our website reads “Please login to view the directory”, but there is no log in field present. How do I know that the login in will direct them to the Connections directory content? Do I need to add a plug-in like Peter’s Login Redirect?
If you could give me more information about this, or point me in the direction of a resource, I would really appreciate it.

Yes, that is correct.

You can use the Login extension to add a login in the login required message area.
Hope this helps, let me know!
