GuestHi Steven.
I have managed to set up my directory following help from yourself but still have some areas that do not work as expected. At the moment i am just querying two things.
1 Is there any way of doing a bulk delete from the database after downloading a csv file then reloading the file with some details amended. The problem with this is that if entries are uploaded without deletion they will appear twice. Also if a file is downloaded then reinstalled is it possible to keep the same ID number in the database for SEO as this is what is indexed by GOOGLE. It may be rare for this to be necessary but it may happen.2 I have followed the tutorial and installed the Google Maps API keys apparently successfully but with the maps do not appear in my listings although set to be shown. The “Show Map” text is there and opens the window but no content, same in both views.
Any help most welcome

Export the directory using the CSV Export All tool on the Connections : Tools admin page. Make your changes and import the updated file. The entries will be updated vs duplicated.
I recommend enabling beta support for the CSV Import extension on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Beta Version tab. After you do you’ll be able to install the beta version of CSV Import which has improved import performance for large CSV files and greatly improved user feedback of the import process.

I suspect there is still an issue with your Google Maps API key. Open the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab. Google will show you error messages related to their API which can help you figure out the issue.
Hope this helps, let me know what you learn!

GuestHi Steven,
Thanks for your response. I have accessed the Beta CSV as suggested and will be trying it shortly.
I am still having problems with the MAP configuration. I have tried multiple sets of keys by creating new projects all with the same result. The controls are visible the Google link is active and takes you to the correct map in a new tab but no content on the webpage. I attach a screenshot to illustrate which also shows no errors in the Console. As a matter of interest the siteshot extension seems not to work although it did in a previous trial installation.Regards

PS . Cannot see where to attach a file but if you go to infoshield.co.uk/searches then detail an entry in chrome you can see what I mean.04/11/2018 at 9:05 am #458645Steven Zahm

I took a look at the page and the browser’s console. It does show me errors. They seem to indicate that you might have disabled the Google Maps API. PLease navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the bottom and enable the Google Maps API option. After you do this, let me know. Thanks!

GuestHi Steven.
Because I had a site crash for an unknown reason I had reverted to an earlier backup. Trying to b clever I had actually used microthemer to make some changes which I think were causing some issues. Unfortunately I am a support engineer and css is a new field for me hence microthemer. The maps are now working per entry after I disabled all the css working additions and I will restore them 1 by 1 until I find the culprit. I am really trying t0 enable a design created for me at a huge cost in SYnfony which was unmanageable and cost thousands, in a monetisying version in WP which is simple yet manageable to engage with enough dollars to add and expand. Your directory plugin can do all of the things required but Require my input to get there. Your support and knowledge of your product is fantastic . Thanks for your help.Richard M
