I changed the name of the page that my connections short code is on and now the search function doesn’t appear to be working. What should I do to make the search function work again. I don’t remember the former page name as it had no relevance to what the page was about. Thanks for any help!08/14/2014 at 6:42 pm #300958Steven ZahmKeymaster
The page name should have no effect of the search working or not. Which template are you using and what version? Also, can you please share a link to the page having the issue. Lastly can you attach a screen capture of the Connections : Settings admin page, Search tab? Thanks!08/15/2014 at 12:04 am #300969Lynda LaCourGuest
Thank you for your quick response!
The page is: http://www.smithtownmoms.com/directory/
Connections: Version 0.8.14
Connections Market – Template :Version 3.0.1
I’m not sure where to attach the screen print, but will send that when I can figure out how to attach.
Thank you!08/15/2014 at 12:10 am #300970Lynda LaCourGuest08/15/2014 at 3:25 pm #300998Steven ZahmKeymaster
Can you try updating to Market 4.0 to see if that resolves the issue? You can download it from your Purchase History page.
It shouldn’t make a difference, but … you know how that goes…
If it does not make a difference, can I please get a temp admin account so I can take a closer look?
My guess is that a plugin is likely unsetting the search query vars. You can test this by temporarily deactivating all other plugins. I have a hunch that will solve the problem. If it does, then you have to activate the plugin one at a time until the issue comes back. When it you’ve found the plugin causing the issue. Let me know what you find out.08/16/2014 at 9:10 pm #301085Lynda LaCourGuest
I will try all your suggestions and report back.
Thank you again for your prompt reply!
