ParticipantHi there,
i recently bought the widgets pack in order to use the search on connections. I also have the site in different languages. Everything works fine so far. Even the translation.
But when it comes to search, there is an error.
The default page works fine so far with the search widget, it redirects with the search string to the default connenctions page and there is the correct result.http://url/?page_id=6&cn-s=CDR (german default page – also set as connections default)
But when the user is on the english translated default page and enters a search string the page is redirected to the default german page:
http://url/?page_id=6&cn-s=CDR
The correc tlink of the english search with redirect would be (this works great)
http://url/?page_id=565&lang=en&cn-s=CDR
So how can i set the english search result page correctly?
Greetings

re: So how can i set the english search result page correctly?
You would have to hook into the
cn_search_form
filter and add a hidden field to set the current lang so it will be passed when doing a search query.Hope that helps!

re: Can you provide the code for the plugin part?
That’s actually impossible for me to do. For one, I do not even know the plugin you are using for translations. They generally have a function available that can ple placed to output the correct form data. I would need to know the plugin and that function name.
I do provide custom development work and I do have time I can do this for you. If you are interested, please contact me using the Contact link at the very bottom of the page and I’ll reply back with a quote.
