ParticipantHi,
I cannot find the search function on my directory page. Do I need to add it to the shortcode and if so, what is the string? This is not in the documentation.
Thanks,
Tim

Which template are you using? The search is on by default on all the available templates that enable that feature.

ParticipantI am using the default entry card 1.0 created by you. There is no search function on the front side page for users to search the directory.
On another note, I am also using form, which I purchased yesterday. It is not working. I cannot add additional information and the form does not submit data.

The default template does not support search, only the premium template have search as a feature. Those templates are cMap, Market and all the *Plus templates. Hope that helps.

ParticipantIt really does not help but I will live with it. I do not mind paying for it. But it should be disclosed in the wordpress plugin library. understanding this would save a great deal of time. what about my other question? regarding form? do i need to start another topic or can we handle it here?

The issue with Form is not with Form … the theme is including a very old version of jQuery which is causing many errors which include causing Form not to function. You can view these errors by loading your site up in Chrome, hitting the F12 key and clicking the Console tab. At the very least it appears that is is causing a critical BuddyPress error too. The only real solution is to contact the theme dev to have them fix their theme. Having this old version of jQuery is going to break a lot of plugins for you.
I hope that helps.

Good point. I added this to the search instructions to avoid any further confusion.

Is this the theme you’re using?

ParticipantYou still have not answered my secondary issue. Please advise. Do I need to start another thread? I cannot submit a new party to the directory using the form extension. This has become the priority. I will be purchasing Tile Plus in order to resolve the search issue. Need to be able to have a front end, user initiated form for self registration. Form is currently not working. Please advise…
