ParticipantHi, Steven! cMap and its plugins (especially the CSV import option) are wonderful, and setup was a pretty seamless process.
My page’s theme (World Wide by Goodlayers) has its own search option that allows you to search through pages by keyword. However, this search does not show any business search results from the cMap database. Is this an issue with the theme’s search function or with my cMap? I obviously have no issues with the cMap search functionality.
Thanks again for a wonderful theme, and I will listen out for you! God bless!!

The core WordPress search is for searching thru its own pages/posts which is why many plugins provide their own searches just like Connections does. There is not a way to integrate with the WordPress core search so it can provide data entered in Connections, sorry.

ParticipantDear Steven,
While I believe you have a great plugin, cross-referencing WP Post and Connections proprietary table data through a custom sql query would be really helpful.
— Users don’t think they won’t find directories through WP searches.
I understand this is the way you have written your plugin, but I just want to register that it would be terrific to not have relatively isolated data (in this world of elegant APIs…) or inside our own WP sites.
Best

re: (in this world of elegant APIs
Ahhh… that’s the issue… there is no WordPress search API so there is no way to hook into to provide custom search results.
