ParticipantHello,
It appears that IE8 is not rendering the search button correctly on the following page. More specifically the magnifying glass:
http://rtc2.pivotdev.com/directories/employee-directory/?cn-s=test
Does anyone have suggestions on where to troubleshoot? Thank you.

KeymasterAdd the following to the theme’s style.css file.
#cn-search-input { height: 28px !important; vertical-align: bottom !important; } input#cn-search-submit { height: 28px !important; vertical-align: bottom !important; }09/28/2013 at 4:13 pm #270218Mike
GuestSteve, I am putting a search box on the homepage with a couple links to different parts of the directory (minimalist landing page). I am formatting the search box for connections, but I am having a heck of a time accessing the submit button.
I am having trouble accessing #cn-search-input from my child theme. Do you have any advice on how to style it successfully? Nothing I’ve done has impacted the appearance of the little magnifying glass bg image. Am I using the wrong ID, or can this not be done wth a child theme? I am trying to rework that whole search box, and I’ve been able to access the input field by just using
input.homepage {
}
I’m using a custom search box, so I shouldn’t think future connections updates would break it :D since from what I have been able to understand of your code, you do things very meticulously. Anyway, point being, I don’t mind getting dirty with the search box if you can give me some directions. When I remove the id=”cn-search-input” it stops working, so i’ve been looking for a workaround.
