By default those feature of disabled in Gridder. Here’s the doc page which explains how to turn them back on.

Solved! It was a problem with the permalinks

Hello Steven! I found that I have some problem with the permalinks and I can only make work the “search” and “category function” or the “view profile function” but not both at the same time.

When I click view your profile it directs me to:
http://www.spanish-chamber.com.hk/index.php/members-directory/name/the-company/
However, the link where the company profile is the following:
http://www.spanish-chamber.com.hk/members-directory/name/the-company/

The problem is if I change the permalink and remove the index.php the search and category function stop working…

Would it be posible to change the action when doing click the button to remove the index.php?

The root of the issue is permalink support as you have figured out. The web host is running some really dated software (I do not think they are even supported anymore and may be a security risk to your site):

Server:Microsoft-IIS/6.0
X-Powered-By:ASP.NET
X-Powered-By:PHP/5.2.5

I know IIS/6.0 needs tweaks in order to properly support mod_rewrite without the index.php being in the URL. This is something the web host will have to do. Here’s a Google search that results with others asking the how to remove index.php and answers..

This page may be the exact answer to solve the problem.

Hi Steven,

I could go one step further on the problem setting plain permalinks and now the directory works. However, now the only thing that doesn’t work is the contact form.

When I fill the form the message “Could not initiate mail function” appears. Any idea how to solve it?

That is indicative of a web host issue with sending email and this error that is being reported by WordPress. Try the Postman plugin to setup mail to be sent thru a service other than the webhost.

Great to hear! If I may… I do suggest changing hosts. My current preferred host is SiteGround. Their WordPress hosting packages are actually quite good and when I’ve needed support, it has always been fast with actual solutions. I get nothing for referrals, I’m just a satisfied customer.
