ParticipantWe created a user and assigned a role that do not have ‘Add Entry’ ticked. However the user can still create an entry.
Using cMap with Link and Form. The user level should only be allowed to view. Any idea why it is allowed to create and entry.

Form allows anonymous submissions which is what it was originally designed for. The Link integration is newer. What you need to do is go to the Connections : Settings admin page and disabled the Submit New Entry in the Result List Actions section under the Display tab.
That will remove the “submit” action link leave only the view my directory/add my directory entry action links.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantThanks I tried that but, I still get the Add My Directory Entry option. My situation is: I have more than one user from a business in the business directory. I have created a primary and secondary user role. Primary can add or edit the listing. The secondary users may only view the entry. In the connections role manager I have assigned add and edit capabilities to the primary user and made sure that they are not assigned to the secondary users. Hope that makes the issue clearer.
Thanks

Oh, I think I understand… I took a quick look at the code and I’m not checking the role capabilities before presenting the link action. I guess I should be checking to see if the user has add moderated or add capabilities before showing the link.
If you give me a temp admin account, I’ll log in and apply a “hot patch” to see if that is the solution. The login details can be sent via the contact link at the bottom of the page. Please paste a link to this forum thread so I can relate the two.
