ParticipantHello Steven,
I would like to relabel the fields names.
For example:
I would like to rename ‘Notes’ to ‘Corkage Fees’
Assuming that it is possible to rename (relabel) the fields, would this affect the CSV import column header naming convention in any way?I tried the Say What? Plug-in but it only appears to affect the management side, not the user side.

Thanks,

You can use the Say What? plugin, use ‘connections_form’ for the domain instead of
connections.Changing the name wouldn’t/shouldn’t effect the CSV Import field headers.
Hope that helps!

Guest@ Steven,
Thanks for the information on changing the labels on the ‘connections_form’ side.
I would also like to do the same thing on the ‘connections’ side, if possible…
I am using the SlimPlus template if that matters…
Here is a link to a screen capture, if that helps…

It appears that the Connections plug-in is doing some sort of image resizing on upload…? I can make this question a separate post if you prefer. Thanks,

For the template, you need to use the str_* options that are available to it. See this FAQ. Here’s the complete list available to Slim Plus found on this page.
str_select='Select Category' str_select_all='Show All Categories' str_image='No Photo Available' str_bio_head='Biography' str_note_head='Notes' str_contact='Contact' str_home_addr='Home' str_work_addr='Work' str_school_addr='School' str_other_addr='Other' str_home_phone='Home Phone' str_home_fax='Home Fax' str_cell_phone='Cell Phone' str_work_phone='Work Phone' str_work_fax='Work Fax' str_personal_email='Personal' str_work_email='Work'The next update to Connections will still support these Slim Plus options, but if the labels are changed with Say What, it will automatically inherit that change. I think that’ll make this a little easier for everyone.
The image size, Slim Plus requires a specific image size so the layout of the template does not break. So what it does is automatically create the required custom image size and caches it.
I hope that helps!
