For some reason the ‘Select Category’ title is a radio selection when displaying the category list. How to I remove this as a radio selection?

That is the category selection feature of the Market template. You can use the enable_category_select shortcode option for Market to turn that feature off.

Here’s sample shortcode:

[connections enable_category_select=false]

I’m actually wanting to keep the category selection area. I only want to remove the radio button named ‘Select Category’ and keep the rest of the list displayed. Is that something I can adjust in the plugin?

Add the following CSS to the theme’s custom CSS area:

#cn-market #cn-cat-select ul > li:first-of-type {
    display: none !important;
}

This will hide the display of that list item. Just keep in mind that without this option, the user will not be able to view all again until they navigate back to the directory page.

You could add this Market shortcode option str_select='Show All Categories' to the shortcode to make the text more relevant.
