Hi Steven.

I am interested in having my business directory  display a minimal amount of information while seen in listings mode, but show all available data when looked at in Individual mode.

For example, I would like to hide the business address  when the entry is first seen, but have it show when a user clicks on the listing for more info. Is this possible?

Activate the “Names” template under the “All” template type on the Connections : Templates admin page. And then under both the “Organization” and “Individual” template types, activate cMap.

One the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab check the “Single Entry” option.

And finally, on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab, check the Name option in the Links section.

That should get you what you want.

Thanks for your reply. I may not have been clear on what I am trying to achieve…

I’m using cMap on the “All” page of my directory and it is displaying exactly the information I want to show. For the individual pages I am using the Bio template, and that looks great as well, with one exception:

Right now I do not have addresses in the member profiles, because I don’t want addresses to show up in the “All” listings. However, I would really like the address to show up in the individual listings.

What I am wondering is if there is any way to hide the addresses for the “All” listings while having them show in the “Individual” listings?

Add show_addresses=false to the shortcode. cMap will obey the setting because it enables this option for its use and because the Bio Entry Card does not and has no idea what this setting is supposed to do, so, it should show the addresses. Now if you were using any of the other premium templates instead of the Bio Entry Card, this wouldn’t work because they all understand this setting.
