ParticipantI am trying to reduce the size of an embedded video, the short code I am using is a bit smaller than in your example on how to embed but for some reason nothing seems to happen, it remains at the same dimensions! I’m using cMap 3.0
[embed height=152 width=270]http://youtu.be/IPg5Xjtj2Xw[/embed]
Cheers

The [embed] shortcode is a WordPress shortcode so I don’t actually know much more than what listed in the FAQ and on the page that is linked to in the FAQ.
I see that is says this on the WordPress [embed] doc page:
“It also allows you to set a maximum (but not fixed) width and height, like so: [embed width="123" height="456"]…[/embed]”
So your syntax looks correct.
Maybe the issue is the use of the short URL instead of the long one?
Or maybe you’re video is not available in a smaller size?
I also found a few issues like this with the [embed] shortcodes if the Jetpack Plug was installed. So, if you have that installed try deactivating it.Hope that helps.

ParticipantHi Steve,
Yep, seems to be something with the Jetpack, once I deactivated the shortcode worked fine. Odd that….anyway did the trick!
Thanks for your speedy response once again, have a good weekend!

ParticipantJust a note, I’ve found Jetpack plays badly with quite a lot of plugins and even themes. It’s also fairly bloated and slowed my site down a LOT. I’ve stopped using it for that reason.
