how about an option to redirect to a specific page or entry upon a successful login.

Connections does not have a built-in login, though there is a freely available extension that does add that feature. The redirect feature would be easy to add just not sure how useful that feature would be. The login widget only displays on the single entry profile page. The shortcode technically can be used anyway though, so it could be added as a shortcode option…
I reviewed (and revised) how I was using the Login extension and modified its placement. (I’d had it on a separate “Login” page, instead of inline on one of the other pages.)
That said, if a shortcode redirect option were available… that would be really cool. ;)
