GuestWe are using the Radius Search but results are not consistent and not correct. If we search on a member zip code in a 10 mile radius the member listing does not come up. Searches in a 25-mile radius sometimes include the member but also include out-of-state and even out-of-country listings. Most important is getting our members to be able to do a search and see their own listing along with other members in the area.
Directory is here: https://www.ifsguild.org/FengShui/feng-shui-consultant-directory-desktop/Thanks for your help,

Keymaster@ Christine
Can you please provide some specific example searches so I can replicate? I’ve done a few random ones of zip within your directory and they seem to be correct.

type in the zip code of the member listed (random) and the city does not show up. Seems to be a problem with Google connection? If you use any existing member zipcode and choose a 10-mile radius it would not find any results including the member listing, if you use 25 miles it pulls randomly worldwide … we got one from the UK on a northern California search.

KeymasterOpen the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab.
Here you will find errors relating to your Google Maps API key.
Currently the error is:
“Google Maps JavaScript API warning: NoApiKeys”
This means you have not setup your Google Maps API keys. For search radius to function, this needs to be setup. The reason is Google is used to geocode the zip code the user types in. Without the zip code being geocoded, it is not possible to do a radius search.
Here’s a link to a Google Maps API Keys tutorial:

Hope this helps!
