    I’m currently redoing our website in WordPress. I was looking for a good way to create a church directory for our 300+ member congregation. I’ve installed Connections, but I’m missing some things…

    Is there a search bar on the displayed page for users to search the directory?

    Is there a way to limit what is displayed on the “front/home page” of the directory. Right now it shows every entry.

    I found the short code for only displaying families, still need to see a search bar on the top of the page if possible. Thanks!

    Search is only enabled in many of the premium templates. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the heads up! After browsing the templates, what would you recommend for our application. Will Tile Plus allow me to group our members into families? I’d like to display only families on the directory page, not individuals. Will the search feature grab both families and individuals, or can it be set to one or the other? Thanks!

    Yes, Tile Plus would work but by default it does not show the links to the family members. This can easily be turned on though by adding show_family=true to the shortcode. Since you only want to show families, make sure to add list_type=family to the shortcode. Because you’ll be setting the list_type option, search results will be limited to the family entries. Hope that helps.
