ParticipantHi Steve,
I have the strangest thing happening:
I have setup a page to display two sets of the connections directory. The first is setup by ID and their are only four displayed. Those four are in category 1. The second set of the directory is setup as category 2. This was done so I could list the first four id’s in order as required by my client. However, I get the strangest behavior.
The directory page displays as intended. It looks great and is in the circle theme. However, when any of the first four ID’s are clicked, the individual page displays the profile twice. None of the other profiles are behaving this way. Got any ideas on this?
The page on which this is occurring is http://onelifemaps.wpengine.com/find-a-recommended-facilitator/. Please click on any of the first four, so you can see the issue. Can’t figure it out. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks,
Tim

The reason you are seeing this is because the shortcode is on the page twice… Connections uses the same page. Even the URL changes (for SEO) you are always on the same page.
What you to do can be done but you need to change the setup a bit. Here’s how…
- Create a new page, let’s call it “Person” (name is not important but should be relevant). The page contents should be just the
[connections]
shortcode with no other options. - Set the “Person” page as the Directory Home Page on the Connections : Settings admin page.
- Edit you current direct page and add
force_home=true]
to both shortcodes and save the page.
Now when you click on the profile links in the directory, the will resolve to the “Person” page where the shortcode exists only once so the profile will only be displayed once.
Hope that helps, please let me know.
