ParticipantAfter renewing my subscription I updated Connections (to 8.6.7) and Slim Plus (to v2.01) and now when accessing directory page (https://www.gogrounded.com/grounded-directory/) I receive white screen with this message:
Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0
Oddly changing to names template works fine. Changing to to cMap template produces 500 server error.
I increased PHP memory to 256M via wp-config, disabled Cache Enabler and Auto-optimize plug-ins to no avail.
Was working fine prior to upgrade with all other existing plug-ins/themes.
Host: HostGator Shared via Baby Cloud Package
PHP: v 5.6.30
WP: v4.8Any ideas?
Thanks

ParticipantAfter posting I looked into upgrading to PHP 7.0 which resolved the issue. I will rake through the rest of my site to make sure no other functionality is impacted.
Not sure if it was the Connections plug in or the Slim Plus template causing the problem. Regardless would think/hope upgrades would be compatible with earlier (N-1) versions of PHP…or if not at least documented with dependencies.

Apologies for the trouble!
I did some searching and the only thing that pops up is when Autoptimize (AO) tried to minify an already minified JavaScript file. Not sure if that was related or not.
Which version of PHP were your running prior? I have automated tested which tests all the way back to 5.3 and I manually do some cursory checks running PHP 5.2 on a live site to make sure no obviously broke.
Could you revert your PHP version real quick with AO and the cached enabled? Then try this URL:

Oh, I just noticed that you have the core Connections CSS disabled? You should enable it. The setting is found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab in the Compatibility section. That option should only really be disabled if you plan on defining your own custom core CSS styles for Connections.

ParticipantOh yeah….I disabled that during the trouble-shooting process….file that in the grasping at straws bucket. Have since turned it back on. All is good.
I appreciate your attentive response. Thanks

ParticipantI in now way intended to question your regression testing. Was just looking for a solution. But now it’s fixed. It could be AO, it could be something else. Bottom line I appreciate your quick response.
Thanks

No problems and thanks! Just glad you were able to get it working again quickly. After almost a couple thousand updates in less than 24 hours, I think this was a some sort of conflict with your specific setup. Not sure why changing PHP version would have any effect though, so that’s odd.
