ParticipantHi Steven
I have had Connections installed for sometime now. I wanted to renew my licences and then thought that the most economical would be simply to get the Pro Pack but now I find that the bundle licence can’t be used for the individual components. Also when I downloaded from the email (as I assumed I would have to reinstall) each zip file saved as “connections(1).zip, connections (2).zip and so on instead of say “connections-csv.zip”. So they won’t automatically install either.
Is it possible to let me have the individual licences or is it better that I just renew each previous licence and pay the little extra?regards and thanks

That is correct, the license keys are only valid for the item which was purchased. They can not be used to renew other items. A bundle is, as far as the store is concerned, still a “single” item even though it contains multiple items. Hope that makes sense.

I have not heard of or run accross this issue before. Could you forward the email back to me? I’d like to see if I can replicate it.
So you do not have to wait for me to try and replicate and troubleshoot…
The zip files, so you can install, when downloading, name them anything you want when downloading so as long as it is unique. The zip file contains the folder with the correct name so the name of the actual zip file should not affect installation.

I’m not sure exactly what you are asking, sorry.

ParticipantMy last question was should I just renew the licences and get you to refund the bundle?
Then I can buy the extras that come with the bundle separately. I did rename each file but it keeps telling me that it is not licenced to the site even though I have enabled it in my Purchase History.Attachments:

ParticipantSorry I should have clarified my first comment – I already had most of what is included in the Pro pack (which I bought ages ago as separate items) but the licences required renewing. So rather than renew each individual licence, I thought I could buy the Pro Pack as it had additional items as well as those previously purchased. I thought that would cover the ones I already had as well as the extras.
So no I was not trying to renew any that I did not already have. Sorry for the confusion.regards

Then I can buy the extras that come with the bundle separately. You can, but, purchasing the bundle, as you have, is much less expensive.

What site are you trying to activate the items in the Pro Pack on? Currently may are registered to the http://mica.org.au/ site.
Here’s what you should do… generally this is not ever necessary but I can not determine what state your site is in currently. So, starting over is a good place to start. So to speak.
- Navigate to the Connections :: Settings admin page and click the Licenses tab. Deactivate any licenses which are activated.
- Navigate to your purchase history and click the Licenses tab. Click the Manage Sites link and the the Deactivate Site button (if there is one, it will only display if a site has been registered).
- Deactivate and then delete any previously installed versions.
- Download the items from the Pro Pack from the Downloads tab in your purchase history.
- Install and activate the items from the Pro Pack you just purchased.
- Finally activate the support license keys you receive for the items in the Pro Pack using your new support license keys, not the expired ones.
Now, that said … Honestly, I’m still not certain this answers your question in regards to the licenses but I’ll try to answer regardless…
You purchased several items which have had their support license key expire. Purchasing the Pro Pack does not renew the expired items you’ve already purchased but you do not necessarily need to install the item from the Pro pack Purchase. All you really needed to do was navigate to the Connections :: Settings Licenses tab and activate your new support license key you received for the items in the Pro Pack purchase. Hope fully that make sense.
