    New to Connection plug-in. How does private work? I’m working with an organization and want to make organization (public) and contact (CEO) private with your plug-in.

    Example:
    – Organization (public) – everyone can see the organization information
    – Contact (CEO) – you have to login to see the contact information
    – Executive Board contacts – you have to login to see the contact information

    Can you help me?

    Set the Organization as Public and then set the CEO and Executive Board as Private. Now, only when the CEO and Executive Board login, only they will be able to view those entries while anyone who is not logged in will only see the Organization.

    Setting up a church directory and would like it to only be visible to church members. If you visit bethany-covenant.org/directory it asks you to login.
    Great except I don’t know where or how to set this up access it.

    Appreciate your help.

    You need to make user accounts in WordPress for your church members to be able to login and then give them the link to the WordPress login page. Alternatively, you can install a WordPress plugin that has a widget that can be placed in the theme’s sidebar or a shortcode for a login which can be placed require login message area on the Connections : Settings admin page.

    I’ve noticed that many churches mark the page as “Password protected”; that’s that page where you added the [connections] shortcode. The distribute that password to the church members, not as secure since it is “public” password, but is easier to manage than creating user accounts for every church member.
