ParticipantThe plugin and template work great. I need to be able to print the page as it shows in browser. I’m using this for a church directory. Want to print family page that has pic and info for each family. On the browser you see each in a box so it shows several on a page. I tried to add wordpress plugins that do pdf and print. But either they show error on connections directory page or they mess it all up and text and pics don’t show correctly.
Any way to print or a special plugin that works with connections?

Another user had pretty good success with the Print O Matic plugin and the Tile template. It did require copying the entire base CSS in Connections in the print CSS options.
It seems reasonable that it could work fine with cMap too.
Hope that helps! Let me know.

ParticipantHi Steven,
I’m not sure I understand what to do. I added the plugin print o matic. I added the short code to print onto a directory page where i took off all the sidebars. When I go to print or print as pdf, it shows only that one grouping. Example, it might be several pages but on my computer it is showing maybe 10 listings. But the biggest issue is the format is completely different so it doesn’t look anything like the computer. What do you mean that I have to copy the entire base css? Where do i get that and where do i put that?
thanks

Right, it wouldn’t work on multiple pages, you would have to print each page individually. I think the other user had a small enough directory where all entries would render successfully on a single web page, when printed it was 8 to 10 pages, if I remember correctly.
What I mean by the base CSS… there s file named
cn-user.css
in theassets
folder. That entire file’s contents had to be copied to the plugins custom print CSS settings option.Hope that helps!

ParticipantMine is pretty small. It just did the first 3 or 4 ok then got all messed up. i’m sorry but still don’t understand where or what file i’m copying to.
so to make it work i have to copy everything on the cn-user.css to the style.css in the print o matic plugin folder? thanks04/09/2015 at 12:33 pm #331066Steven Zahm

Yes, copy everything from in the
cn-user.css
into the custom print CSS option in Print O Matic. It is a settings on the plugins admin page, not a file.Hope that helps.

My best guess is that it seems you might also have to add all the CSS from the
cmap.css
file too.04/13/2015 at 10:17 am #331190cheryl lyman
Participantit now displays the cmap template. it does break though so sometimes a person is started on one page and ends on another.
I have another question. it still shows the view all, select category, search and alpha index at top. how or where are those items so i can put do not print? thanks
