    Hi,

    My customer is asking me for two questions:

    .- Why can’t get a Preview when is editing an Entry.
    .- Why, when Entry is saved, must go to list, search and edit again. Why not Save and reload (same as a page or post)

    What can i say? :-)

    No really… I have no good answer for you! Nearly a decade ago when I forked another plugin to start Connections, the process was add an entry, refresh to the manage page. I kept that process and it has not changed since.

    In all this time since, to the best of my recollection, this is the only time any one has ever asked me. So, here’s my thoughts…

    Honestly, not sure what value there would be … if you have added one entry and looked at it, then all the other are going to look the same but with detail details.

    Well, adding an entry is not like writing a post or page… generally you add the details and save. I would guess it is very rare that someone would make only small changes and save an entry multiple time in a row.

    Honestly, I agree with you :-)

    But the client is the client so:

    .- Can you give me a budget (aprox., not a deep analysis needed) to integrate the two options? .

    In this way, if the client considers that it is worth paying, he can order the work.

    I would need more details on how your client would expect this to work. A feature like this would have to be integrated into Connections. So, their expectations of how the preview would work will also need to be compatible with how others use Connections. The best possible solution I can think of is loading the entry in a lightbox on the add/edit page displayed in the current activated template. Doing this would be a lot of development time.

    I do not think this would be that difficult to implement, but, it would have to be done in a way that would not affect anyone else.
