Steve, first I should say how pleased we are with your products and how amazed we are at the ongoing support you offer – very detailed answers to forum posts, and that’s not what we get even when we pay for support with other WP plugins :)

My question is this: We’re using Bio Card 2.0.1 to run a membership directory at http://www.dwhsa.com/dwhsa-member-directory/ … and, because we want to add the category dropdown menu search and the blank search box functions that are available in Excerpt Plus, we’d like to transition the directory from Bio Card 2.0.1 to Excerpt Plus …

Do you have an FAQ or post anywhere that would give us the steps to do that? (Sorry if it’s easily found – I’m just not finding it in my searches through the forum.)

There really is nothing that need migrating. I can be as simple as install and activate (the plugin — templates are plugins) the template and then activating the template (tell Connections which to use). Excerpt Plus does have many configuration options available to tweak it to your liking, but that’s is optional. Excerpt Plus does create its image thumbnail on the fly, for a little more detail, see the exception in this FAQ. Just mentioning it in case you do like the results of the dynamic images. The FAQ basically gives instructions on how to coerce the template to give you the results you want.
