GuestMy company is going to start using wordpress for their official web site. Regarding contact info the requirements are the following.
1. The contact page shall be easy to maintain.
2. Each of our services has a contact person (that will also be displayed on the contact page). His/her contact info should be displayed on the page where the corresponding service is described, without having to enter the info for each service page.
What I mean is that we want the administrator to be able to enter the contact info for each person once, and connect specific contact persons with specific pages. If for example Joe is contact person for the two services machine vision-technology and technical information, Joes contact info shall be visible on the page describing machine vision and on the page describing technical info. It needs to be easy for the administrator to enter Joes info and his “ownership” of these pages, and easy to add/remove ownership.
No 1 seems to be no problem if we go with Connections, but is it possible to solve no 2 as well?
Best wishes

Keymaster@ Karin
Using your example…
On pages that Joe “owns” use the following shortcode:
[connections id="X"]X equals the ID for Joe’s entry in Connections.
More can be found on this doc page.
Hope that helps.

GuestThanks Steven! I’m going to run it by our IT guy, but to me it looks like a solution that fits us. Thanks again for answering so quickly!
