Is it possible to have two different lists of search criteria – one for people listing themselves in the directory and another for people searching?
For example, on a medical directory, Doctors could add themselves to specialist categories like ADHD, anxiety disorder and amnesia but a consumer could just select ‘mental health’ and be linked to any dr that listed the other categories?
It’s just the providers will use technical terms and the searchers will want to search more generally.
If I understand correctly … is sounds like you could use categories to create two directories one showing the medical terminology the other showing common language terminology.
Here’s a FAQ on how to do with with the cMap template (which will work any template which supports the searchable category drop down.
Hope that helps!
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!
