GuestHi
I noticed that http://www.ehustleonline.com/ from the showcase has popup or larger image displayed on mouse over. Is this with the siteshot?
I am currently using the excerpt template for this site, for team members and it is one of my favourites to use on sites that I design.
For this site however, I have hit a snag with the gallery – very small number of images that also have text for most that is connected.
http://dreamreader.blogsite.org/dream-art-gallery/I decided I could use Connections to manage all this much more neatly than a gallery or portfolio plugin – as end up getting massive jquery and javascripting issues, as well as issues with responsive mobile display, thereby requiring additional dev time to create a separate mobile site.
I like the idea of being able to display the image smaller and then by hovering it can be displayed larger – can this be done with the siteshot – with a shot of the page? Or is there another method I could use. I plan on displaying the full details and text in drop down Bio or Notes.
That leads to another question — as if using bio or notes to display I see that others have included images and video. How is the accomplished as I do not see a way that I can do this in the default bio and notes.
Thanks very much.
Love this product and my customers have always been wowed.…darleen

I would like to apologize for my delay in my reply as I was not receiving my notices for new support forum posts for about a week. Just reply notices to ones that were already started which is why I’m just now noticing.
Looks like http://www.ehustleonline.com/ is using the ClassiPress theme and not Connections anymore. I’ll update the Live Samples page immediately.
On to your question…
Sorry, but no, there is not a method to do the larger image popups. That has just recently been requested as a feature enhancement. I’ve added it my list but I can’t say when this feature would be implemented.
Other users switch the bio/notes field to the Text tab and type in the HTML tags to include other images. To include a video, you can use the WordPress [embed] shortcode. Here’s a link to a FAQ.

GuestOK Thanks – I am assuming that in CSS I can enlarge the image box – so that If I use the Excerpt template, like I am using for staff directory, I could use larger images? Just realized my staff directory would also be larger images if use the same template for both?
I will play with different options, as my client loves the staff directory and we thought that it would be great to have the mini art directory displayed in the same format.09/11/2013 at 1:12 pm #268974Steven Zahm

Well, Excerpt forces a specific image size and creates those dynamically so using just CSS wouldn’t really do the trick. You could likely get the images larger but they would become fuzzy. You would also have to edit the template’s CSS file to account for the larger image. If you did that, that would affect every instance where you use the template. Sorry, I can’t even think of a direction to point you to achieve what you’re looking to do.
