    I tried using your plugin on a wordpress site running PHP 7.1

    The header tags (h1, h2, h3 etc) remain open (i.e h2 without a closing tag) and therefore causes a problem for the whole page. Is this a known problem?

    This is about “Easy Table of Contents” plugin. It seems that when the plugin scans the post to create the ToC it breaks the HTML tags. I had the same problem with TOC+ plugin. Do you have any idea?

    I would look for plugin conflicts. I suspect that another plugin is causing the parsing failure in ezTOC.
