GuestHi there,
I’m not sure if this is a bug or not, but the last two times I’ve processed an update to the Connections plugin, my WordPress site has stopped working. All I get is a blank screen when I browse to the site. To resolve, I need to delete the connections folder from wp-content/plugins/ folder, refresh the site in a browser, then reinstall the plugin. All my data comes back and the site works fine.
As I said, I’m not sure if it’s a bug, but I thought I’d post anyway.
Thanks, V-

ParticipantI updated my test website this morning and received the following error code:
Fatal error: Class ‘cnRole’ not found in /home/hoasite/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/connections/connections.php on line 489
Please tell me how to correct. Once fixed I will be able to update my client sites.

GuestWe noticed an identical blank screen issue …. client called us up twice about the issue and upon going to the site it was white paging …. then going to the simple of act of logging into the dashboard and doing nothing else brought the site back up …. the second time it happened, we started looking to see if this site had any different plugins than the hundreds of other sites we have that use virtually identical plugins …. this one had connections … we had started to use the plugin at some point in the past and then stopped due to other issues we were having with it … just a heads up, hope this helps.

Simply deactivating and re-activating the plugin seems to resolve the issue. Not sure why a very few out of many thousands encounter this … any why the next update I’ve added a check for cnRole and if not found will specifically load the file …. even though it is already included.
