wordpress.org serves updates files when I release them… I really do not have anything to do with that and really have no control besides committing and tagging the update. wp.org even make the zip file, not me. That said, unfortunately, the only suggestion I can give is, try again. There’s already been almost 1100 updates completed so it must be working, hopefully this was just a glitch.
Not sure how much help my answer is, but I do hope it helps. Let me know.

ParticipantI’m running Connections on two different sites. I had the same problem on one site, but the other site updated OK.

The best I can do is email the plugin admins at wp.org, which I have done but it can be awhile before I hear anything back. The only suggestion I have is the one I gave before and that is to try, if it fails, wait a couple minutes and try again.

ParticipantThanks Steve,
I tried a couple of attempts last night (UK time) which failed, but it has updated this morning. I got the following message when I tried to access Connections after the update:“Connections : Upgrade
Upgrade Required!Your database tables are out of date and must be upgraded before you can continue.
If you would like to downgrade later, please first make a complete backup of your database tables.
[START UPGRADE]”
This was a new one on me and unexpected, but the upgrade seems to have worked OK.
I’m happy if you mark this topic as resolved.
Andy.

Good to hear that you were able to update!
I did get a reply back from the wp.org plugin admins. It does seem they were having issues. Here’s the link they sent me:

Ad for the db update… you should have had to do that on both sites. You did not have to one the one???

ParticipantThanks for the explanation.
I only have the one site using Connections. It’s Steve Scott, the other contributor to this topic with the two sites.
Should I have known a db update would be required?

Ahhh… I completely missed that, obviously. Apologies!
re: Should I have known a db update would be required?
No, not really. From time to time I need to make db tweaks to support upcoming features. This db tweak simply added and
order
column to support the new Custom Entry Order extension I am going to be releasing soon. -
