ParticipantWe’ve had Slim Plus installed and working successfully for years now at http://www.stjoseph-baden.org. Today I got an email from my client stating the plugin had vanished.
When I logged in, the Connections Slim Plus still showed in the plugin directory, but was deactivated. It wouldn’t let me reactivate, so I uninstalled/reinstalled it.
It’s activated, but the menu item won’t show up in the left sidebar menu in the WP dashboard.
Help?

It does appear both Connections and the Slim Plus template are active when I visit your site. Perhaps another plugin is hiding the admin menu??? Please try this:
Hope this helps! Please let me know.

ParticipantHi Steve,
I just got them both working – the core plugin needed to be reinstalled too.
Question – did you happen to update the plugin recently? I have an auto-updater running on the site, and though it rarely give me problems, once in a blue moon an auto-update will mess up a feature. I’ve configured it just now so the Connections plugins will always require a manual update, but it would be good to have confirmation that was the likely culprit. My client swears they didn’t delete or deactivate anything. :)

Great to hear your have it working now. I had initially wondered if the issue was that the core Connections plugin was not installed, but when I visited the site, it was. I guess you had already installed Connections again.
The 8.16 version was just released on 3/30 … Connections is updated pretty frequently sometimes as much as 2–3 times a month.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantHmmm…yeah, that sounds like an auto-update issue. I’ll be updating manually from now on. Thanks for your help and quick responses on this issue!
