ParticipantI was wondering how can I remove the border around the photos we have in Title Plus. We have some images that are getting the top of their heads chopped off because there is a light gray border that surrounds the photo. Its not happening on all of the photos in our directory but I would like to remove it. Is there a shortcode I can add to remove it? I attached a couple of examples.
Thank You!

Removing the borders will have no effect as they are not part of the picture, they just surround the picture. You have two options. The first, re-upload an image with more space at the top of the image … the crops Connections makes are center weighted. Another option is to try the Face Detect extension for Connections. It attempts to detect a face in the image and tells Connections to shift the crop center so heads are not cropped.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantI installed the Face Detect extension but I must be missing how I enable it? The directory looks the same.

Once installed, there is nothing to configure or enable, it works in the background. It is not immediate, the processing happens in the background because face detection via PHP is intensive and time consuming. While it is processing the original image will continue to be displayed. If at this point it is still not working, the face detection is far from perfect, so it might not be able to find the face. Though, those two images it appears they should not present an issue. With that said, I did download both images from your site and tested them on my dev site, the face detect did work as expected.

ParticipantWhich image size is the photo of the person? Is it considered the Thumbnail Image or Medium image in the Images Tab in Settings?
Which Crop Mode should I set it too?

Tile Plus uses its own custom thumbnail size to prevent the layout from being broke from random sizes being entered in the settings. That size is 100x130px. the crop mode is: “Crop and resize proportionally to best fit the specified dimensions, maintaining the aspect ratio.”
The tile size and the image size can both be adjusted. Here are the relevant FAQs.

Oh, wanted to add when I tested to make sure Face Detect was working with the two images, I change the Tile Plus image size to a square, 100px. Without Face Detect, the head was cropped, with, the crop was fine.
