ParticipantI have connections on a page with the shortcode [connections] and the the directory won’t move from page 1 to any other page. I am sure I am missing something in the shortcode but can’t figure it out.

Something is causing a 301 redirect when paging and a 404 when viewing an entry…
Please try this… Navigate to the WordPress Permalinks admin page. Do nothing, Simply visiting the page causes WP to refresh the permalink structure.
Does that correct it?
If not, try deactivating and activating Connections. The visit the Permalinks settings admin page again. The purpose is to try to force WP to read the Connections related rewrite rules and apply them to the Permalink settings.
Does that correct it?
If not, does the theme use a visual page builder such Fusion Builder? If so, make sure the [connections] shortcode exists within a rich text block and not a “code” block.
Let me know of this helps!

ParticipantNone of those options worked. :-(

Hmmm… what other chases have taken place lately on the site? I see that you are using a security plugin. Can you review the settings to make sure it is not block Connections somehow?

ParticipantEither you did something or something I did fixed it.
Hopefully it was you. Otherwise weird.05/14/2018 at 1:33 pm #462373Steven Zahm

Yeah, I “fixed” it…
The theme (or plugin) that you are using is using a page builder of sorts. And it is non-standard in regards to that is does not actually use the WP content area. A SEO tweak I added fails in this scenario. To fix it, I edited Connections to remove that tweak.
I’ve run into this in a few other instances too, so, the next update will remove this SEO improvement. Unfortunately :(
Apologies for the trouble!
ps. Sorry for the delay in my reply. Been dealing with a leaking water heater and the reps to get it replaced under warranty.

ParticipantNo worries. That sounds like a pain. Thanks for the support as always. Your response time and solutions to issues is why I will always use this plugin.
