GuestAnyone else run into this? Just ONE entry (out of hundreds) does not display properly. The image/logo doesn’t show up on the front-end of the site (but appears correct when I edit the entry) and when I click on the name on the front-end, I get a “Page Not Found” error.

If you could share a link to your directory and that entry specifically that would be of great help. As of right now, I can only guess… Try uploading a smaller image file. When I say smaller, I do not mean file size. Make the actual height and width smaller. Multi mega pixel images can cause the server to run out of resources while trying to process it. It could work in the admin simply because less images are being shown which mean less processing and more resources are available to process the image for the admin.
Hope this helps, let me know.

GuestHi Steven,
Thanks for your help. It looks like the permalink/slug has generated a + symbol, but I can’t figure out how to change it.
Here is the website: http://s737383744.onlinehome.us/voltagemultipliers
Here is the specific entry: http://s737383744.onlinehome.us/voltagemultipliers/contact/sales-reps/international-sales-reps/name/high+voltage-asia-pte-ltd/
When you go to the International Sales Reps and click on High Voltage Asia, that’s where the problem is: http://s737383744.onlinehome.us/voltagemultipliers/contact/sales-reps/international-sales-reps/

GuestHi Steven,
Just trying making another entry with the same name. For some reason, after “High” it keeps adding a + symbol to the permalink.

You can kinda sorted ingor the
+
, The browser will always replace a space character with a+
. So, that is not the issue, it is a symptom. How are you adding “High Voltage Asia”? In the admin? Or, importing it with the CSV Import addon? Copy/pasting the name from sone into the admin? Copy/pasted from somewhere and then imported.
Somehow, for some reason the space between “High” and “Voltage” is not being replaced with a dash like it should be.
If I manually add the dash, replacing the
+
in the permalink, the entry loads like it should:If id do the same for the image, it too loads fine:
This indicates that the entry and its data is fine, but something is squirrely with its slug. And right now, I can only think it must have to do with how it was added/entered.

GuestI manually entered it in myself, as an admin, just the same as I did all of the other entries. I even did a variation on the name High Voltage, and it still replaced it with a + on a new entry.

I just added both
High Voltage Asia Pte Ltd
andHigh Voltage
to my testing site and both added fine … the space betweenHigh
andVoltage
was had the dash as expected.Create a temp admin account using this plugin:
Reply back, as a private reply, and I’ll take a look.
Right now, I am really thinking another plugin is, for some reason changing the page content and removing the dash. I say this because I can fix the link and it loads as expected:
This tell me the entry and its data is correct. I do not believe, at this point, that this is an issue with Connections.

Please navigate to the Tool : Real-Time Find and Replace admin settings page.
It has been setup to replace
high-voltage
withhigh voltage
.Apparently this run after the directory is embedded on the page so it changes both the entry permalink and the image display by changing its source.
Navigate to the Connections : Manage admin page and mouseover the “View” link for the “High Voltage Asia Pte Ltd” entry.
Note in the mouseover tooltip that the dash is present in the link, not a space or a
+
.You have to remove the
high-voltage
setting from Real-Time Find and Replace or change the entry name so it does not match so it does not get replaced.Hope this helps!

GuestTHANK YOU.
We had put that string change in place before installing the plugin, and didn’t even think about it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I swear I got a few gray hairs for such a simple fix.
