ParticipantI just upgraded one of my sites (http://businesswomensconnection.com/member-list/) from WP3.8.x to 3.9.1, Headway Themes from 3.5.11 to 3.7.6 and upgraded several plugins, including Connections.
Prior to upgrading, all members were showing up correctly in the directory, but now only one member is displaying, one of the new entries.
What’s kinda bizarre is that if you use the alphaheads, instead of going to the member’s listing in Connections, it goes to another page (starting with that letter).
I’ve made sure that all listings are set to public, no joy.
I’ve turned off all plugins but Connections, no joy.
I’ve deactivated and deleted, then reinstalled, no joy.
I’ve turned off the current theme, subbing one of the defaults, no joy.I don’t know where else to go with this…

ParticipantI figured some of this out – I’ve got all the records showing, but I’m still not sure why it’s not displaying the information from the edited template.
I had created a folder in the wp-content folder called connections_templates, and in that a folder called card-bio-logo that contains 3 files: meta.php, template.php and thumbnail.png. I don’t remember where these came from (I don’t write php). The template.php file is attached.
I have activated the Bio Entry Card 2.0.1 and this is what I put on the Directory page:
[connections template="card-bio-logo" show_alphaindex='true' order_by='last_name']
but I still don’t see the logos that are supposed to be there.Any advice?

Lets see…
First … If you do not know where those 4 files came from, remove them from the
connections_templates
folder. They can override core template files. Since I have no way of knowing what’s in those files there no way of knowing what errors they may be introducing.Second … edit your directory page, switch the page editor to the Text tab. You seem to have stray HTML tags surrounding the shortcode and maybe in it too. They needs to be removed.
Third …
card-bio-logo
is an invalid template slug. I suggest removing it from the shortcode completely. You setup does not require the use of thetemplate
shortcode override option. You can also remove theshow_alphaindex
option too. This instead can be enabled on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab. You can actually remove theorder_by
option too because the default sort method is last name. I guess this is the long way of saying you only need to have[connections]
on your page. And lastly … The Bio Entry Card does not show a logo which is why you do not see a logo. Perhaps this is why/where those 4 files come from in the
connections_template
folder. Someone altered/created a custom template which showed the logo too.I hope that helps!
