I’d like to use the “old” character index with cmap, when connections used anchors instead of the /char/M/ url.
Basically I just want to point to a certain person in a long page of entries, instead of being redirected to a single entry like it’s the case with the /char/M/ links.

I remember Connections was using the alphaindex with anchors 2 years ago.
Is it still there and have I missed an option, if not is there a way to change a few lines of code to reinstate it?
Thanks for your support!
Install the Code Snippets plugin.
Download and unzip the file attached to this reply.
Import the code snippet XML file, srevert-character-index-to-anchors.code-snippets.xml, into Code Snippets. See the FAQs on where to find the import feature.
Activate the newly imported snippet.
This snippet will revert the character index back to the old anchor format.
Hope that help!
