GuestHi!
My question is the same as Petter’s.
“I am very sure you have what I need but after some time looking around your site, I am not sure what set-up I need? If you can bear with me, hopefully you will recognize what elements I will need to buy.”I’m using WordPress 3.5.2 TwentyTwelve and WooCommerce
I should add that I’m new to shortcodes so I’m a bit out of my element. Here’s what I’m looking for:
1. This will be a business directory of dog stores, groomers, trainers, dog parks, dog friendly hotels, etc.
2. Visitors should be able to have a dropdown menu to look for a service. It would be great if they could also select location by city or zipcode. For example, I’m looking for a dog groomer near zip 10038. It doesn’t have to be exactly in that zip, but nearby (possibly ranges 1m, 5m, 10m).
3. There should also be a simple search so you can search by name
4. Business Entry should be simple and clean (like Dogsized website).
5. I prefer if the Business Entry has the text on the left.
6. They should be able to add a photo/logo, but if they don’t have one, it should be completely blank, i.e. not say “no photo posted” in grey
7. The Business Entry should include the ability to show Google Map and Bio &/or notes
8. There should be an option to let visitors make comments/reviews on the business and select a star rating (e.g. 1-5 stars).
9. Fields for Nearest Transit Station and Business Hours
10. Should be able to accommodate CSV bulk load / import
11. As this is a business directory, fields like birthday and anniversary are not needed.
12. It would be great to have a form so people could add their business to our directory. But we would like to require it to be approved by us before it can go live. Also if it would have a captcha that would help.
13. I don’t think we need the Individual or Family options as this is a business directory. Thanks for your help!

Sorry for the delay, you caught me after I already left for the weekend…
1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 7. cMap is the most popular right now, should come close to your requirements. The text is on the right however. try the demo, or any of the live sites.
2. Currently there is no user facing way of doing “near” searches. You can, however, enable the locality and region link options on the Connections : Settings admin page under the advanced tab. That make the city and state links in addresses which a user can click on to filter the list by the city or state they clickon on. You can give that a try now without any purchase as they work regardless of the template being used.
6. It can be set to be blank if there is not logo by setting
image_fallback=nonein the shortcode.8. Sorry, no rating or comments or reviews.
9. You could enter this in either the bio or notes fields.
10. You’ll need the CSV Import Extension for the bulk import.
11. If you do not enter it, it will not be displayed in the frontend; ie in cMap.
12., 13. Form would be recommended if you plan on letting anyone submit an entry for moderation and are not worried about letting the user maintain their own entry. If you do want to let the user maintain their own entry, then I recommend Link. Either will allow moderation. Form, you can turn on/off some fields and set it to default to be an organization and remove the individual option. Link on the other hand, can, but it is a per user and the users choice. There is not a global on/off that can be set by the admin. Form has an anti-spam feature built in and does not rely on captcha.
Ok, I think I answered all the questions … hope it helps. Let me know if you need anything clarified.
