Hello,

i´ve made an new entry (organisation), by clicking on the name of the entry it is opening a new site with the details but the details were not displayed on the new site (f.e. the biography, the notes and so on).

Which template are you using? What you see might be exactly what should happen. Can you share a link to your directory page please?

Hello,

the name of the template is “Cutline 3-Column Split” and the link to an example-entry is http://www.luxusshops.com/luxusfirmen/gourmets
By click on the title “Testfirma” there are no details on the next page although I´ve made entries at the biographical infos.

That the theme you’re using. The Connections template is the Default Card template. It is working exactly as designed. It doesn’t sow any additional details on the single entry view.

You can use two templates to accomplish what you want. Go to the Connections : Settings admin page and enable the Single Entry Template option under the Display tab. After you do that, go to the Connections : Templates admin page, select the Individual template type and activate the Bio Entry Card template. Do the same for the Organization template type.

thanks, that works but: when I open the category, f.e. http://www.luxusshops.com/luxusfirmen/gourmets, there is one entry, who shows the details in advance and not by click on the name???

Looks like you have it almost right … activate the Default Card template under the All template type and the Card Bio template under both the Individual and Organization template types.

Was this a change to previous version behaviours? Just been asked to look at why the single view was not working on the site I look after.

Have done the above, but also noticed that if the page uses a shortcode such as [connections category='5' template=‘acho-orgs’] this overrides the behaviour of the single setting, in the fact that the single entry defaults to the short code template, and not that set in the Settings : Template for the type of connection.

We have three sections of the site, all listing in slightly different ways, using the shortcodes. However, we would need any clicks on the entries to go to the Biography view. Am i missing a way to do this via shortcodes?

No this has actually been the behavior now for many years. The template will not has a single view unless one has been created and registered to use it.

Yes, using the shortcode will always override any settings set in the admin, including the activate template. This is to allow per instance overrides of the settings.

It sounds of you need to add a single view to your custom template. To see how, I recommend referring to the code of one of the premium templates such as cMap or Market.
