ParticipantI was working in the plugins area, and I noticed that connections said I needed to update, so I clicked the Install Update Link. The update was running for an unusual long time. I refreshed the page, and Connections no longer appeared in my plugin list, and I noticed an error saying my wordpress auto update failed, that I should reinstall it. I reinstalled the wordpress, then when to reinstall Connections. However, I received an error saying the directory already existed. How can I reinstall connections without losing the 100+ listings I had in the directory? Thank you in advance for any help!

Sorry to hear about the update installation problem you are having! In my experience, it’s rare, but WordPress can mess up a plugin update. The good news is your data is safe. Here’s what you need to fix it.
Log on to your site with FTP.
Go to this folder:
../wp-content/plugins/
In that folder you will see a
connections
folder.Delete that folder.
After that folder is deleted, go back to the Plugins admin page.
You will now be able to reinstall Connections and it’ll use the preexisting settings and data you’ve already entered.
Hope that helps. Let me know!
