Hi Steven,
I have just purchased the Cmap template to use on my website which is great for what we want, however we would like to know if it is at all possible to have a search bar on the main home page? Similar to the attached image. If so, can you please explain the best way to go about this.

We would also like to know if it’s possible to centre the main menu we have accross the top?

Regarding the font size of the listings, are we able to also make this larger? If so, do you have a code to do so?

Not exactly as shown in the attached screenshot.

I do have an advanced search addon available to those who purchase either the pro pack or extension pro pack and request it. It’s not generally available due to it being a complex to setup, so I do offer setup as a service. If you know shortcodes well, it is really not that difficult. I can provide it and instruction if you purchase one of these those bundles. You can see an enable of it running on this live 3rd party site:

Are you asking about the theme’s top navigation menu??? If you are, you ‘have to ask the theme’s support.

Sure you can use CSS to make the font size any size that you wish.

Here’s some sample CSS, add it to the theme’s custom CSS area.

#cn-cmap .fn {
    font-size: 20px
}

#cn-cmap .cn-entry {
    font-size: 16px;
}

You might have to add the !important flag.

Hi Steven,

Thank you so much for your assistance, was very helpful. Two further questions:

Currently our ‘all services’ page is a list of every business in our directory, however once scrolled to the bottom and go to navigate through the various pages, unfortunately it’s not letting us navigate. Can you let me know if this can be fixed through the settings? We still want the same number of businesses listed on the page, but when clicking ‘page 2’ it obviously goes to the next page with the same number of businesses listed.

Secondly, following on from your comment previously regarding the search bar, you mentioned you have the advanced search addon available. Can you advise the price of this and also if you offering your service involves a fee also.
This could potentially work for what we want, are we able to customise the field headings and customise the arrangement e.g. having the keyword search at the top?

RE: pagination

Navigate to the WordPress Permalinks admin settings page and remove index.php from your permalinks structure. That will make it compatible with Connections and improve the SEO of your permalinks.

Hi Steven,
Thank you for your help again, however when i remove the index.php from my permalinks structure my website displays an error. I have attached images of what i mean. Can you assist further?
The Peel CCI Directory image is the error message i receive once removing the index.php from my permalinks structure.

You’ll need to talk to your web host. It sounds like they have not enabled a feature called mod_rewrite or it is not configured properly for WordPRess support. I am kind of surprised. It is pretty much a standard on any host I’ve worked with for many years now.
