    $permalink = $wp_rewrite->using_permalinks() ? trailingslashit( get_permalink( $homeID ) ) : get_permalink($homeID);

    Sweet. Perfect. Adding that extra ‘get_permalink’ did the trick.

    Very cool. Thanks for your efforts here. The ability to use two different pages should now allow me to use the benefit of the permalink structure, while keeping the integrity of my “Featured” listings layout.
