    I am using the cMap plugin with Connections Version 8.2.1 and have also purchased the Extension Pro Pack. I cannot find the shortcode necessary to create a search capability (in function and appearance) as the one located at http://sscit.org/directory/ with simultaneous multiple categories and some mandatory and optional inputs for the consumer/user. I’m sure I’ve overlooked or just did not understand the description provided. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I’m guessing you found the link to that site from this blog post, yes?

    That site webmaster had commissioned me to develop that specifically to meet their requirements around multi-category search within a geographic radius. There’s nothing publically available to achieve that. They also, on their own, heavily modified the Names template (which comes with Connections) and the cMap template to achieve the overall look and function that they wanted. Basically, there is nothing on this site that is “stock”.

    Thank you for your prompt reply. I understand. This is a link http://business.greaterreadingchamber.org/list/category/banquet-facility-rooms-583?q=Hotels&st=1 that enables the search to be narrowed. Can I accomplish this with the Connections tools at hand? If so, how? Thanks again!

    Sorry, I just noticed while cleaning out my email that I completely missed replying back to you. Sorry, not “faceted search” can not be done with the tool currently available for Connections.

    No problem. In the interim I was able to figure out how to do a version of a “faceted search.” Another question though. I noticed on the above referenced site that it had a “Hot Deals” Widget. Any idea how I could come about something like that? Thanks for everything.

    Probably the easiest would to be create a “Hot Deals” category and add entries to it with the deals.
