ParticipantI’d like to create a group for Lawyers and Affiliate Members, but I’m not sure how to do this with a drop down list. I used the Category shortcode, but the drop-down category shows everything, not just the categories under the ID I specified. Any tips on how to do this?

ParticipantFound “enable_category_by_root_parent=FALSE” and it’s basically what I need! However, it shows empty parent-categories even with “show_empty_categories=FALSE” … Any fix?

The problem is you’re going to have to update your version of Tile Plus to the latest for that feature to work; which means you’ll have to reapply your custom tweaks to the template.
You can download the update at no cost from your Purchase History.
I hope that helps! Nice site btw!

Oh, take a look at this FAQ on how to do this properly so it works. The FAQ is for cMap but it will work just the same with Tile Plus.

ParticipantThanks!
So I should update … but I’m not sure I understand your second post. I think that’s exactly what I did but it still shows the empty parent category.

You have to update for it to work. That feature was not available in the version you currently have installed.

ParticipantOk, I’m all updated, but the problem persists. Is it easier if I give you access into the WP backend?

I just visited both: http://www.browardcla.org/affiliates/ and http://www.browardcla.org/members/; seems to be working fine. What is the issue?

ParticipantI don’t want the parent category to show.

Oh, I see. Sorry, no, there is not a way to hide the parent category using this method even if it is empty.
