Thanks! Yes, I’ll be very careful. I will not be making any changes what so ever on the dev site. Promise. I just want to view it.

Ok, I lied.. I’ll be making a minor cahnge and do the export import real quick for you.
For some reason on the dev site, the collation for the connections tables are
utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci.The live site the MySQL version is older and does not have this collation as an option. The fix is to change the collation. Minor change. Since I’m doing this,it’ll only take me a couple minutes more to move the data.

Ok, the data is moved give it a look.
I gave up trying to change the collation in the dev site… I ended upda just editing the results SQL file from an export of the Connections tables to do a global find replace to change the collation instead. It them imported without issue.
Hope that helps!
ps. you still will not be able to export from the dev to to another site because of the collation… unless you are importing into a site which support it.
pss. What’s weird is Connections uses the collection that WP tells it too. So it is very curious how you ended up with that one.

ParticipantSteven,
I appreciate your help very much. I’m not sure why we had trouble – with only the connections tables. Very weird.
It looks like it’s done.
