ParticipantThe below issue relates to my Connection installation at:
https://bottlemakesthree.com/coloradobreweries/My Connections cMap setup isn’t working right any longer. When you click the “More Info” or the “Show Map” link below an entry, it just takes you to the top of the page. Nothing opens. No notes/map is displayed. In fact, if you hover over the links it shows the page address.
Also, while it’s not working right on the website, it does work correctly when I’m in the WordPress Customizer page. The live preview on this page shows everything working correctly.
My license is valid and I renewed my Google Map API keys.I also went through the Settings/Advanced/Compatibility options and, one by one, disabled the individual options to see if it helped. (Except for the JQuery, I didn’t mess with that one).
I turned Debug Messages on, in case that helps.
Can you tell me what is causing this issue/conflict? I’m at a loss. Any help is appreciated!

It appears Autoptimize is breaking the site. There is an inline script (appears to be theme related) which requires a certain javascript function which does not because the file load order has been changed by Autoptimize.
So this is not really Connections related conflict at all (just a casualty), because most of the javascript is broken on your site because any javascript that is loaded after the error will not be run.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantThat was so helpful! Thanks for finding the issue. I turned off the “Optimize JavaScript” option and it’s working now! I was able to do this without any issues to the page speed (which is why I added Autoptimize to begin with) so I’m happy that’s all it was.
Thanks!

Yes Autoptimize and similar plugins can be very useful, though, when trying to optimize javascript, that can be hit or miss. My guess is the theme (could be wrong) hard-coded some javascript rather than using the core WP API/s so when Autoptimize did its thing, it could not properly move the hard-coded javascript so it caused a fatal error because a dependency of that hard-coded code was not yet available.
Any way great to hear it’s working now!
