GuestHello,
I need to create a new membership directory for the Chamber here in Hawaii.
I would like a feature with CSV import so its easy for us to instantly upload the entire database.
The listing would have a place to upload a picture, name business name, contact info, social media buttons, links to their business and address is optional.
Can you please advise me? I know you have a list of extensions but I’m not sure which one I will need.
How easy is this to set up? Can we also make changes once we upload the CSV file? Is there a way to upload pictures of members also?
Please advise and thank you very much. Looking forward to using your plugin.

My suggestion… Since the core Connections plugin is free to download and use, install it can give it a go. follow the steps in the quick start and you’ll be up and running in no time.
As for addons, after you’ve used Connections for a little and are comfortable with it, based on what you’ve said, you only need the CSV Import extension. I would also recommend the cMap template. It is the most popular and it has support for the Template Customizer which gives you point and click configuration of its many options.
Hope this helps!

GuestHello again. I see that Cmap is a theme. Can it be used alongside with another theme that I’m already using?
Thanks.

The template for Connections are not WordPress themes, they only affect Connections. Put another way, you can use Connections templates with any theme. Hope that make sense!
