GuestHi I have a few questions. First I cannot share the website I am working on because its an intranet site.
1. Is it possible for me to add more mapping fields to accommdate the fields from my CSV file.
2. Can have more than one dropdown for my categories? I have three categories in all.
3. The alphaindex doesn’t work, when I select any of the letters it just refreshes the page.Hopefully all of these issues can be resolve by being able to add the fields I have in my CSV to the plugin.
please find the image of my old layout:

GuestIm trying to map these fields to the ones your plugin provides can you help me please?
Fields in my CSV:
Empl ID
Last Name
First Name
Middle Name
Preferred Name
Job Title
Department
Work Location
Employee Classification
Employee Status
Phone # Type
Work Phone #
Ext No
Work Email
Manager ID
Manager Name
Last 2 of Payroll Dept #
Organizational Function05/14/2013 at 11:03 am #259769Steven Zahm

Connections does not support custom fields so there is not a one to one way to map all of these. Here’s my suggestions; the Connections field is on the right:
Empl ID
Last Name => Last Name
First Name => First Name
Middle Name => Middle Name
Preferred Name
Job Title => Title
Department => Department
Work Location => Suggestion, maybe use the Work Address?
Employee Classification
Employee Status
Phone # Type => Suggestion, Connections support 5 different phone number types, breakout each phone number type into its own column in the CSV and map them accordingly.
Work Phone # => Work Phone Number
Ext No => Suggestion, merge this field with Work Phone Number before you import.
Work Email => Work Email
Manager ID
Manager Name
Last 2 of Payroll Dept #
Organizational Function => Suggestion, maybe use the Organization field?The remaining items without a map or suggestion … maybe merging them in a single column in the CSV and import them into the Notes field will work for you.
Hope that helps.

GuestHi so I mapped the fields in my CSV to the connections field like this (connection fields on the right as you mentioned):
Empl ID => Honorific Prefix
Last Name => Last Name
First Name => First Name
Middle Name => Middle Name
Preferred Name => I tried to use the Bio for this.
Job Title => Title
Department => Department
Work Location => Work Address 1
Employee Classification => Work Address 2
Employee Status => Work Address 3
Phone # Type => I left blank because entry indicates the type already
Work Phone # => Work Phone Number
Ext No => Since the CSV is pulling from a Database not sure how to work around this one. I tried placing it into the work fax.
Work Email => Work Email
Manager ID => Contact First Name
Manager Name => Contact Last Name
Last 2 of Payroll Dept # => I use Work zipcode
Organizational Function => OrganizationWhen I import my CSV with these fields mapped like this I get duplicates (see image),
then when I tried updating the fields one by one and click the update button I lose all content except the fields that are the match directly with the connections field.About my manager name please see image.
Also I my dropdown doesn’t work and when I update the fields to make the dropdown function I lose my content again, my alphaindex does not work either, and I would like to add this instead of the dropdown and search bar to the top (see image)

I cannot see the images. You’ll have to either login so you can attach them or share a link to the image.

GuestHi is there any way to change the headings or add headers for the fields
example; Job Title: KeyMaster
Department: Digital Advertisingand so on, just like how the Work Phone shows up on the actual website when content is loaded.

Use the contact form at the bottom of the page and I’ll reply back with the mail.
We can use CSS to add the title like so:
#cn-list .title:before { content: 'Job Title: '; font-weight: 700; } #cn-list .organization-name:before { content: 'Department: '; font-weight: 700; }
