ParticipantI am having trouble getting the map to render in cMap template. I presently have a real estate IDX plugin which uses a mapping feature. I switched from Google api to Bing (if this matters) when I read about the conflict with Connections. Still nothing.

First, please disable the WP Minify Plugin. Even though the Connections javascripts compress and minify fine, not all plugins do. This is causing you errors on your site. After you deactivate this plugin, let me know.

GuestMinify is a feature in W3 Total Cache. Shall I disable all instances of the minify feature (done) or disable Total Cache altogether?

I use W3TC as well… great plugin, but do not use the auto method Minify Method, use the manual. Set this in the General page. And on the Minify page, enable the HTML minification. Leave the JS minification disabled for now. You can turn on the CSS minification, but you’ll have to add each CSS file path manually. Make sure to put them in the order you want the CSS to be minified. After we verified that the maps are working, you would do the same with the JS files. I can tell you, that is a very tedious process because you have to test after each JS you add. In the end it is with it because you can significantly reduce the download size and hits to the server.

It appears that the Google Map API option is disabled in the Connections Advanced Settings, please re enable that option.

GuestOoops. I thought I had done that already.
I just reactivated the API setting and it appears to be working.
