Hello, I recently purchased the Pro Pack and plan to use the CSV tool as my import method. Is it possible to create and import custom fields?
As an example, I would like to create a “Department_Building” field for the many global campus building at our organization. Entries are department-building concatenations of department abbreviation and building name, i.e. “CF-Corporate”, “TF-Corporate”, “CF-Anderson”. These fields don’t need to be concatenated during the migration process, I have already done this in MySQL.
I just need to be able to create a field to import these values to, and there is not one by default in the wp_connections db. I see there is a custom field section for the entry of records, but I don’t see a similar option in the import csv controls.
You would need to create a plugin for Connections that adds the custom field.
You can see how another user added three custom fields and added the csv import support for those fields.
I hope that helps!
